MEET OUR FOUNDER

Yvette Nkwenti founded Kwengha Botanicals during her pursuit for solutions to her own skin and health problems. Yvette is a Registered Nurse, a Preacher, an Organic Skin Care Formulator, a Professional Beauty Therapist and a mom.

For several years, Yvette suffered from constant breakouts that left her skin covered in dark acne spots and uneven skin tone caused by her excessively oily skin and the dry Canadian winter seasons. She spent so much money on synthetic skin care products hoping to find the magical product. She also spent a lot of money on hydroquinone based products in efforts to get ride of her hyper pigmented skin while putting her own health at risk; but still could not achieve the results she wanted as hydroquinone made her hyper pigmentation look even worse with "bleached" skin patches (Please note that hydroquinone is a high alert  cancer causing agent and has been banned for use in cosmetics in most of the EU but allowed at 2% usage rate in Canada and the United States).

She hated the way her skin looked and lost confidence in her beauty as a woman. She constantly wore make-up foundation every time she left her house as a temporal outward confidence booster. Her biggest beauty dream was to one day be able to go out of her house without wearing make-up foundation.

After several failed attempts to find the magical product that would get ride of her skin care problems, she turned to mother nature for solutions. She started researching natural skin care active ingredients. She was fascinated with the results of her research and started doing DIY skin care products. After several attempts and trials, she started noticing that not only did her skin started looking better, her body started feeling better too. That is when she realized that what a person puts on his/her skin also affects his/her over all health. So she also got rid of her harmful chemical household products and started doing DIY household products for her family.

She did not want to stop at being a skin care DIYer. So she invested in education to become an organic skin care formulator. She completed her Diploma in organic skin care formulation and is currently working on her Advanced Diploma in Cosmetic Science. She is also enrolled in other skin care formulation courses.

Yvette has since experienced a significant improvement in her health and skin since she started formulating and using natural skin care products. She has regained confidence in her natural beauty and has been able to achieve her dream of going out without wearing make-up foundation. She has also received very positive feedbacks from friends and family members who have used her products. Before she launched Kwengha Botanicals, she was already receiving requests from people who have tried her products to make her products available for them to purchase.

Yvette is very passionate about formulating skin care products that would solve our customer's unique skin care problems and she wants all our customers to achieve the same results she did without the use of synthetic harmful chemicals.
